To: All members and friends of the Fort Dorchester Residential Association.
Date: January 21, 2013
Place: The Wescott Club House on Wescott Blvd. (Please notice that the venue has changed for this meeting)
On February 4, 2013 at 7:00 PM there will be a meeting of the Fort Dorchester Residential Association. The North Charleston Mayor, Keith Summey, has agreed to attend and talk and answer questions addressed to him within the limits of time constraints. It is anticipated the meeting will go from 7:00 PM and end promptly at 8:30 PM.
Those who receive this notice are asked to send questions and issues to the following website prior to the meeting so that they can be considered in terms of a final agenda.
The responses will be summarized and inserted into the final agenda which will be circulated prior to the meeting. If time permits and agenda items are covered additional questions may be put forward but only in so far as the time constraints (8:30 PM) permit.
The FDRA Board strongly encourages everyone to attend this meeting and to email questions, in advance, to the indicated website.
1. The mayor’s talk and subsequent related discussion.
Additional questions and issues of interest that were submitted and may not have been covered previously
2. The mayor’s view regarding the predominant use of jurisdictional boundaries as opposed to subdividing the North Charleston zones according to risk probabilities in terms of evacuation zone (i.e. Lumping North Charleston’s Upper Dorchester Corridor with Daniel Island instead of with Dorchester County’s Summerville evacuation zone when our area would be impacted by Ashley River effects vs. the Charleston Harbor effects).
2. A question has been raised about the street sign at Dorchester Road and Wescott Blvd.
3. Additional questions submitted to the email site as time permits.
